Photoshop - Before and After
The following is an example of the stages of processing that files go through before they are delivered to the client. Photoshop is an amazing tool but it also takes some time to get those images just right. My style of photography isn't just shoot and burn to a DVD. Any image that is put into an album or as a large reprint gets the special photoshop massage.
This first file is straight out of the camera. I was shooting on a bright sunny day and we stepped into the shade for a few portraits. The image has a unattractive bluish cast. Overall not a great picture.
This shot has some basic color and contrast adjustments as well as a curves adjustment. These are how the thousand plus files will be delivered on the DVD. At this point this is still not a very flattering photo that the bride would want to print.

This is how I would deliver the final image for a print or an album. The blemishes have been removed, eyes brightened a bit and the bump on the nose smoothed out. All my packages contain a number of prints that are "massaged" this way in photoshop. Some brides choose to have very little post procesing done but most girls want to look amazing.
