UBC Boathouse Wedding - Carol Ann and Shaun
Carol Ann and Shaun were officially married last year in a small ceremony on the islands. This spring they decided to have a big ol' party at the UBC Boathouse so all their friends and family could celebrate there big day. Let me assure you, just because they were already married that didn't stop Carol Ann form having two dresses, a monster party and and the wickedly raunchy Brent Lee band.
So there is a funny little background story on how we became their photographers. As many of their friends know Carol Ann is a complete wedding buff and pretty much organized everything herself. She ended up basically booking me while Shaun was away on business. Well it turns out that I know Shaun from way back in elementary school, we even went to beavers together. This is how I looked back then.
I know, I know I was pretty cool and unfortunately I don't have a picture of Shaun in his sexy scarf.
Well it turns out that not only do I know Sean but that Carol Ann is a wedding photographer as well. It's pretty cool when someone who knows the craft and really appreciates pictures decides to choose you as their wedding photographer.
Carola Ann and Shaun decided to get ready for their wedding at The River Rock Casino where we got some great shots of the two of them before the ceremony. The first few are of Carol Ann chilling out and looking hot.
Notice the cowboy boots.
If this shot looks familiar it is because it's a crop of the shot above.
This shot was totally not posed. She really was just checking out her flowers while we waited for the elevator.
Love this shot of the two of them. Just imagine him with a brown beavers hat and a blue scarf. They arrived in style at the UBC Boathouse. How cute is this little guy. He was all over the dance floor. Sweet cake. As the party was rockin I grabbed then for just a few minutes to get some great sunset shots. With off camera flash.
Without flash. Okay the sky wasn't really pink but it makes for a romantic shot. Love this shot. The leading lines are out of this world. One last shot of the party in full swing. We had a great time at your wedding and wish you guys all the best.
