Steveston Pictures - Chantelle and Byron

We had a great afternoon shooting Chantelle and Byron's engagement session in the always popular Steveston area.  These two are big time in love and were really at ease in front of the camera.  Here are some of my favorites from the day.

Love this image, shows lot's of love and is a little bit playful.

Byron was bouncing all over this tree, jumping up one branch and swinging onto another.  Chantelle on the other hand was hanging on for dear life.

Love the daisies.  There is always something different when shooting in Steveston.

We shot so many great images of this fun couple it was hard to narrow it down to just these few for the blog post.  Enjoy.

Delta Wedding - Rob and Lauren

I have known Rob since back in my hard partying high school days and I always feel so honoured when someone I know decides to hire me to capture the most important day of their life.  I love my job and this day couldn't have been any better.  The weather was perfect, the wedding part was a blast, the party was awesome and the couple was beautiful.

Here are some detail shots of the flowers and Lauren's grandmother's brooch.

I rarely show formal shots on my blog but I know they are some of the most important images captured on a wedding day.  These two studs will be looking over Rob's shoulder for many a year.

Tsawwassen Wedding - Scott and Megan

I'm going to start out with one of my favourite images I have shot recently.  This isn't your grandma's wedding picture, that's for sure.  While I always try to capture some classic portraits that will stand the test of time it is nice to experiment with different shooting techniques.   While this type of image won't be for everyone I think it has the look of a cd cover or some other contemporary art.

The wedding was at Minoru Chapel and we shot the pictures at Scott's parents beautiful home and at boundary bay.

Some great shots of them dancing during there first dance using three different kinds of lighting and each giving a different feel. High iso with no flash, off camera flash and bounced flash.

Boundary Bay E-Session - Scott and Megan

So I have been finishing up Scott and Megan's wedding pictures when I realized I haven't posted their engagement shots yet.  They didn't want to see their pictures at all before the wedding and wanted to see the slideshow at the reception.  We got some great images of this fun sexy couple at Scott's family home and on the beach.

This cat was definitely a model in a former life.  I would set up a picture and she would walk right in, plop down and look right at the camera.

Awesome view.

Off for some pictures at Boundary Bay.  It looks nice but it was actually freezing.

Love this image.  These guys were a lot of fun and totally into each other.

Some beautiful late afternoon light.  Great for romantic portraits in this secret garden.

Don't miss the reflection in the water.

My fav of the day, it just captures the love of the couple.  Cool and casual.

Minoru Chapel Wedding - Jocelyn and Gabe

I was a groomsmen in my good friend Jared's wedding a few years ago and now his little sis is not only getting married but she's having a baby as well.  Wow, time flies when your living life.  It was a pleasure to shoot for them for a few hours at the always popular Minoru Chapel.  Here are a few of my favs from the day.
